I bring more to the legal practice than just the law. I am originally from Elkhart, Indiana and graduated in 2001 from Indiana University, Bloomington with a BA in English and minor in Medieval Studies. During my undergraduate career I knew I wanted to be a lawyer. However, the 9/11 attacks occurred during my final semester of school. I then decided to follow my father’s footsteps and enlist in the US Air Force to serve my country in a time of war. I served in the Air Force from 2002-2006 logging more than 1800 hours as a C-17 Loadmaster and completed numerous missions supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

I attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and graduated with a JD in 2012. During my time at DU, I interned at the Children’s Hospital Colorado. I also spent a year in the Civil Rights Clinic working an 8th Amendment claim which resulted in a settlement with the State of Colorado. After law school, I joined the Arvada Police Department as a patrol officer. My duties as an officer gave me the opportunity to help those in crisis and resolve difficult problems. My desire to solve problems prompted my return to the legal profession.

That brings me to today, and what that all means to you, the prospective client. My experience has proven to me that the Golden Rule is true. Treat others the way you want to be treated. To that end, I am a client-focused attorney with an emphasis on respect and communication with the client. My goal is to not only solve your case, but to put you at ease while the matter is being handled.
