Jennifer is not only a seasoned and dedicated attorney, but she cares deeply about the needs of her clients bringing sensitivity and thoughtfulness to her practice. Her approach blends her extensive legal background, along with her personal experience of having gone through her own divorce involving her two children. Her comprehensive legal background includes family law, corporate/business matters, real estate development, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, employment law and private equity finance. She has also worked as a legal consultant, law professor and owned her own business.
Jennifer has lived in Colorado since 1988, after spending her childhood in Michigan and Connecticut, and attending boarding school there. She moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her B.A. in philosophy. Before receiving her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1997, she lived in London, England working for the criminal courts; lived in Chambery, France studying French as the only American student in a French university; and hiked and camped for 30 days in the Wind River Wilderness in Wyoming.
Always driven by wanderlust, she has traveled extensively to many countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, India, Seychelles, Kenya, Tanzania, Brazil, Venezuela, Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Prague, and Switzerland. Although an avid skier, her two teenaged children take the spotlight now; William and Caroline are competitive “big mountain” extreme skiers, conquering terrain that terrifies her.
